Majlis uses PostgreSQL Row-Level Security (RLS) policies and partitioned data access. Feeds, profiles, direct messages, and search queries are scoped by community at the database policy level, enforced on every query.
Verification media is uploaded to a private, access-controlled storage bucket that only same-gender moderators can open. Once a moderator approves or rejects the submission, the file is permanently deleted from storage.
Because community selection affects all private data and trust within the network, switching communities requires formal manual review by our safety leads to prevent impersonation or cross-gender infiltration.
